I have been getting regular acupuncture treatments and Chinese herbal medicines from Carolyn Hoong, Licensed Acupuncturist & Traditional Chinese Medicine doctoral fellow, for a couple of years now, for various health issues such as Parkinson's symptoms including shuffling gait/difficulty walking, hand tremors, and constipation.  The first time I saw her, I came into the clinic in a wheelchair.  After the treatment, I was able to walk to use the restroom by myself, and to my son's car for our ride home.  Carolyn has been able to help me maintain a good quality of life and able to do daily activities.  Carolyn is skilled, attentive to details, compassionate, patient and kind.  She truly listens to you, and I feel heard, seen and understood.  I am very impressed by her acupuncture & wellness clinic that is welcoming, comfortable, clean and calm.  Carolyn and her clinic staff provides a five-star luxury experience from the moment I walk in through the door into her beautiful waiting room.  They also serve herbal teas, water, and snacks in case you need some refreshments before your treatment; and their restroom is always clean and tranquil.  It has been the best acupuncture clinic I have experienced.  I have been getting regular acupuncture treatments from Carolyn every week, sometimes twice a week; and I feel off whenever I miss a week on rare occasions.  Carolyn has a way about her that makes you feel healed to be in her presence and treated by her.  When I do get the acupuncture treatments, my sleep, energy level, and mobility are improved.  Dr. Jevon Li who works in her Thousand Oaks, CA clinic custom formulated Chinese herbal medicines for me to help with stress, anxiety and constipation.  It has been a better alternative to Western laxatives and stool softeners.  I highly recommend Carolyn Hoong and Dr. Li to my family and friends, and whoever needs acupuncture treatments and Chinese herbal medicines!!

Carolyn Hoong is an amazing acupuncturist! I had pain in my left foot for over a year! I went to a podiatrist, and he said it was a bone spur. He said to do some foot exercises. The pain was still there! After a family member's recommendation, I went to see Carolyn Hoong for acupuncture. She inserted some needles into my foot. After just one treatment, the pain was gone! The bump that my podiatrist thought was a bone spur also disappeared! How can that be? Carolyn and Dr Li said it may have been a cyst instead. Anyhow, it went away after just one treatment, and hasn't come back! I also had pain on my right foot. The doctor said it was plantar fasciitis. It was so painful, I couldn't step onto the floor in the mornings. After just four treatments from Carolyn, the foot pain that I had for five years went away! She is amazing! I thought acupuncture would hurt, but it felt like a massage! Carolyn also helped me with trigger finger. It would get stuck and hurt. After a few treatments, the trigger finger didn't happen again! My hands and fingers now work more smoothly. I highly recommend Carolyn Hoong to my family and friends, and anyone who needs pain relief and other medical care!

Carolyn Hoong and Dr Jian Feng Li have helped my family and I recover from a few health concerns. Carolyn and Dr Li have helped me decrease the pressure in my eyes due to glaucoma. Carolyn's skills are incredible! The acupuncture helps decrease my stress, and I continue to use eye drops just in case. I usually fall asleep during the acupuncture sessions. They are surprisingly relaxing! The pressure in my eyes went down from 21 and 22 to 9 and 10. Carolyn is very focused and works with intention. Her acupuncture doesn't hurt and is very impactful! Dr Li has also helped me decrease the numbness and pain in one of my arms, and increase its strength. The muscles in my arm were also atrophying. It was due to a work injury. He did some massage manipulations on my arm, and the numbness and pain went away in just a couple of treatments! Amazing! Dr Li was an orthopedic doctor in China. He also helped my wife overcome a chronic cough that she had for three months using acupuncture and a custom herbal formula. When I told my co-workers about my experiences with Carolyn and Dr Li, they were surprised about what acupuncture and traditional Chinese medicine can do! We are amazed by the range of ailments that can be treated using acupuncture and traditional Chinese medicine. I highly recommend anyone to give them a try! You won't regret it! Their acupuncture clinic is very clean, comfortable, and relaxing too! The experience is very pleasant from start to finish. It is like you are on vacation at a spa in a five-star resort, and your health concerns and goals are being addressed and attended to too. It is a wonderful experience! I came to see Carolyn Hoong because I had back pain. She massaged body oil on my back, then did fire cupping on me. It was amazing! There was so much suction drawing my muscles on my back into the cups, and I was suprised by the feeling! She then slid the cups around on my back, and it felt so interesting and relaxing. The redness went away after a few days, but my back pain went away, BY THAT NIGHT! Carolyn also gave me herbal tablets for my nasal allergies. Thank You Carolyn! I am a happy camper!
